This event was initiated to shine a light on the impact of Lyme and other Tick-Borne diseases on our Youth and Children. The goal is to generate awareness of these diseases so they are considered in the differential diagnosis, especially with children and youth presenting with unusual, confusing symptoms consistent with the broad spectrum of symptoms now known to be associated with these Tick-Borne diseases. In addition, this event is the annual fund-raiser for MontCoLyme, a non-profit organization focused on education, outreach and support.
This year our special speakers will include (more to come!):
- State Senator, the Honorable Stewart Greenleaf
- State Representative, the Honorable Kate Harper
Actress and film producer Amy Tiehel has volunteered to put together video clips of our Lyme youth.
Cyndy Drue of WMGK 102.9 will be our DJ for the event!
Some of the fashions being shown are silks from India and NAHM by Alexandria Hilfiger and Nary Manivong!
